Inventory content you enter
The content you enter into the app — locations (Pantry, Garage, etc.), products, quantities, expiry dates, categories, and notes — is what the service itself is built around. It is stored in your account so the app can show it back to you.
No ads, no tracking, no selling of data. We do not show advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
3. Camera, Photos & Notifications
- Camera: to scan barcodes and, if you choose, to take a product photo. Images captured while scanning barcodes are not stored.
- Photo library: only the photo you select is accessed.
- Notifications: expiry-date and low-stock reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
4. Shared Barcode Catalog
When a barcode is not recognized, the product information you enter (barcode, product name, brand) is added to a barcode catalog shared by all Depoto users, so that other users who scan the same product see the information ready. This entry is not linked to your identity, your account, or your inventory. The photos you add to your own inventory are not shared with this catalog.
